Susumu Yunokawa (湯ノ川 ススム Yunokawa Susumu) is the teacher for Masho Rites in the cram school and exorcist of the True Cross Order.

Appearance

Yunokawa dresses in typical exorcist attire along with a pair of dark sunglasses that always obscure his eyes. He has a mop of blond hair and consistent stubble.

Personality

Yunokawa seems to be a fairly laidback person, having originally thought Mephisto Pheles was joking about Rin Okumura being the son of Satan. Despite this, he is still dutiful in his job, walking his students through proper procedure in case of an emergency.

Synopsis

True Cross Academy arc

After Yukio enter the dormitory where the Exwires were together with Neuhaus, Yunokawa reveals himself along with other Doctor Meisters via secret entrances in the room. Mephisto then reveals himself, telling the Pages that these Doctor Meisters will heal then, and explains that the events that took place in the dormitory were a test all along, which angers Rin.

Training Camp arc

After the training camp in the forest ends, Yunokawa and Yukio arrive to the classroom to find Rin discussing with Shiemi. Yukio interrupts by taking Rin out the classroom and saying he'll now attend special classes, and tells Yunokawa to resume the class. Yunokawa then explains to the other students how to proceed should Rin act weird, and how he thought Mephisto was just joking when he said Rin is Satan's son.

Impure King Revival arc

After the True Cross Order arrives to the Kyoto Branch, Shura assigns Rin, Shiemi, Nemu and to help Yunokawa treat patients. He explains to them what to do, but tells Rin he'll instead be collecting trash, which Rin ends up realizing is a way to tell him not to do anything.

Meister & Abilities

Spectral Awareness: As he is an Exorcist, Yunokawa had to perform the Mashō Rite, thereby allowing him to see Demons.

Doctor: Shown during the training in the dormitory and the Impure King incident, Yunokawa possesses a Meister as Doctor, making him qualified to treat demonic injuries and concoct mixtures with supernatural properties.
