Shapeshifters (擬態霊 (シェイプシフター)  Sheipushifutā) are Demons that have the ability to change their appearance. They possess semi-solids like water, mud and slime. Kin of Azazel, King of Spirits.

Overview

Shapeshifters are Demons without a set form. The closest thing to their true shape is a form of liquid. Shapeshifters tend to take on the appearance of what their target fears. However, this effect can be mitigated if the target in question can't see.

There are at least five fatal verses that can be used against a Shapeshifter. On top of this, the fruit of the Berberis along with a chant can protect people from the illusions cast by shapeshifters.

Powers and Abilities

Transformation: Shapeshifters possess the ability to freely change form. They can even create elaborate scenes with which to torment their victims and can split their body into multiple parts to avoid harm.
