Sea Monks (海坊主 Umibōzu) are Demons that can manipulate coral and reef organisms. They are associated with Egyn.

Overview

A relative of the Greenman, Sea Monks can control the growth of sea organisms in much the same way. They seem to be able to live for a considerable period, becoming one of the oldest creatures in a particular stretch of sea.

Powers and Abilities

Reef Creation: Sea Monks can cause coral and similar sea organisms to grow rapidly in an area, creating solid reefs to move across.

Trivia

• The Sea Monk takes its name from a Japanese sea spirit called, Umibōzu. In English, it is seemingly named for a Danish cryptid of the same name.
