Kinzo Shima Images

Kinzo Shima (志摩金造 Shima Kinzō) is the fourth son of the Shima family, as well as Renzo's older brother and a Middle Second-Class Exorcist. His elder brother, Juzo, refers to him as "the idiot" of the family.

Appearance

Kinzo is a medium sized man with mid-length messy hair. His hair color was originally brown, but at some point he dyed it blonde.

Personality

He seems to be a fairly simple guy who is ruled by his emotions, kicking his little brother on the head as a greeting and paying no attention to the conversation at breakfast, preferring to stuff his face. Although he is described as being an idiot by Juzo, he does care about his brothers. He readily leaps into combat without hesitation. He also has a rock band and he does the vocals.

Synopsis

Kyoto Impure King arc

Kinzo is first seen arguing with the Hojo sisters over a failure in the Kyoto Branch Office defences of the Right Eye of the Impure King.

Shimane Illuminati arc

Kinzo later appears alongside Ao Hojo as part of the reinforcements from the Kyoto branch in taking control of the Illuminati's Far East Laboratory.

Beyond the Snow arc

The Kyoto branch, along with other institutes and religious facilities start to see an overflow of people looking for aid as demons become apparent to the public at large.

Of One Cloth arc

As demonic influence increases, the Kyoto branch suffers a surge of people seeking refuge. As things become more difficult, Kinzo expresses frustration that he doesn't get to fight on the front lines.

Powers & Abilities

Kinzo possesses Meisters as an Aria and a Knight. He seems to excel in combat, using his skills to eliminate enemies rapidly. Like the other members of his family, he wields a K'rik in battle.

• Go, K'rik: A spell that allows the use to throw and retrieve their K'rik as a remote projectile.
• Flame-Tipped Vajra Spear: Not a spell Kinzo can seemingly use on his own, but upon receiving the blessing of Ucchusma, the tip of his K'rik ignites into a flaming point, allowing him to purge fungal demons more effectively.
• Death Words: Damages and taunts nearby enemies with a shout.
• Spinning Fire: Spinning his K'rik over his head before sweeping his surroundings.
• Crazy Destruction: Shouting with his Death growl, Kinzo boosts nearby allies for a time.

• His name contains the kanji for "will" (志 kokorozashi; read as shi), "friction" (摩 ma) and "gold" (金造 kinzō).
• Kinzo's name is paired with his brother Renzo's name (廉造) meaning "cheap/humble/pure/honest".
• Kinzo is the vocalist in a death metal band called Nyumetsu Strider (Death/Dying Strider)
• He is skillful at playing the Tsugaru-jamisen.
• The average time he spends in the shower is 15 minutes.
• His favorite quote is "Pace" (which he mistook as "Peace").
