Keys play an important role in the world of Blue Exorcist. Magic keys allowing for instantaneous transport between two points are a staple tool of the True Cross Order and very valuable, requiring Exorcists to take good care of them.[1] Despite their versatile ability, there is a limit to the use of the keys, being unable to transport even as few as six people over a significant distance.[2] Other types of magic key exist, but they do not appear to be as prevalent.[3]
Azazel's Sanctuary Key[]

Azazel's Sanctuary Key
A key that opens the way to the Demon King, Azazel's sanctuary. According to Lewin Light, this key is the only way to enter the sanctuary.[4]
Cram School Key[]

Cram School Key
A key that allows access to the Exorcist Cram School in True Cross Academy through any given door.[5]
Door of the Accused Key[]

Door of the Accused Key
A key that allows access to the Opera Court House via the Door of the Accused. Conditions for earning this key are unclear, but it seems that the Paladin at least holds one.[6]
Futsumaya Key[]

Supply Store Key
A key that allows access to the Exorcist Supply Store, Futsumaya, located in True Cross Academy. It is only given to fully qualified exorcists and access to the store is also restricted to them.[7]
Kamikakushi Key[]

Kamikakushi Key
The Kamikakushi Key (神隠しの鍵 Kamikakushi no Kagi) allows something to be hidden in any given location. It was used by Shiro Fujimoto to hide the Kouma Sword for many years.[8] It can also be used to travel to the past.[9]
Key of Eternity[]
The Key of Eternity is a key that allows limitless travel. Mephisto Pheles gives the key to Amaimon to allow him to travel freely in and out of the school.[10]
Kyoto Branch Office Key[]

Kyoto Branch Key
A key that allows direct access to the Kyoto Branch Office of the True Cross Order.[11]
Labyrinth Garden Key[]

Labyrinth Garden Key
A key that allows direct access to the Labyrinth Garden. Since the garden is located in sub-space, this key would seem to be the only method for entering it. [12]
Link Key[]

Link Key
A key granted to Middle Second Class Exorcists. It allows the user to pass between doors of the same type, meaning one could enter one train door and come out another of the same design.[13]
Section 13 Key[]

Section 13 Key
A key granted to personel of Section 13, allowing access to the facility. Its use is strictly controlled with the key needing to be returned when one no longer works there.[14]
Shemihaza's Sanctuary Key[]

This key connects to El, the sacred land of Shemihaza and the location of the tree that makes up her crystalised body. One is held by the current Shemihaza at least.[15]
Shiro's Hideout Key[]

A key that connects to a former True Cross Order field office. Intended for monitoring Yeti, it was abandoned when they were thought to have gone extinct in the area.[16]
Tsukumo Kamiki's Key[]

Tsukumo Kamiki's Key
This key is linked to Tsukumo Kamiki. A get-well present for Izumo Kamiki from Nemu Takara's employer, it opened a door to the adoptive home of her younger sister.[17] It is unclear if the key only links to this location, or it specifically follows where Tsukumo is at the time.
Yuri Egin's Key[]

Yuri Egin's Key
A key that only appears in the anime. It was kept by Mephisto Pheles, linking to the mountain cottage owned by Yuri Egin. It is eventually passed on to Rin and Yukio so that they can visit the place where they were born.[18]
Trivia[]
- Tsukumo Kamiki's key seems to be designed aesthetically for her, having a crescent moon for the handle and her name containing the kanji for the same.
- The Section 13 key is unique by merit of being the only dimple type key shown, the others all being traditional toothed keys, if extravagant ones.
