Homare Todo (藤堂 誉 Tōdō Homare) is a high-ranking member of the Illuminati and captain of Phosphorus (
Appearance
Homare is a fairly young woman of relatively average height; she has fair, light-toned skin, brown eyes and shoulder-length brown hair with dyed, blond bangs that are half pulled back on one side. On her face she wears green-colored glasses, and often puts forth a stern gaze. For attire, she wears the the typical teal, military-esque jacket that is standard for the members of the Illuminati (albeit hers comes with a short cape attached to the shoulders), complete with beige pants, and black boots and gloves.[2][3][4]
Personality
Homare is extremely serious, rarely every changing her stern expression; however, as strict as she is, she is still readily able to give praise to those that complete their missions,[2] but does not restrain herself when people of lower rank step out of their boundaries, as when Michael Gedōin referred to Lucifer as "Lord Lucifer" instead of by his organizational title of "Commander", she immediately reprimanded him on grounds of him being too presumptuous.[5] This aside, she is also extremely blunt, as she told Renzo Shima that his only worth in the organization was his high-ranking familiar.[6]
Synopsis
True Cross Academy Festival arc
Homare arrives via helicopter with Gunnan and Gunnar Lundström and various other members of the Illuminati to pick up Renzo and the captured Izumo Kamiki. She congratulates Renzo on completing his mission, but questions whether the present Nemu Takara will do anything to stop them, which he denies. Homare then tells Renzo to stay and watch as the guards around them put up shields as Rin Okumura and various others arrive at the scene. Ignoring the inquiries of Shima's old allies, the member tells Renzo that "he" should appear soon, and in a blaze of light, Lucifer, their leader, appears, and delivers a message of war to the True Cross Order, as well as make their goal to revive Satan and unify Assiah and Gehenna perfectly clear. She then watches as Lucifer converses with his brother, Mephisto, and as they prepare to leave, Lucifer collapses, which warrants Homare's attention. As she calls the doctor to care for Lucifer, Rin attacks the group, and Homare orders Renzo to fend him off, which he does. After they all climb into the helicopter and depart, Homare sees Renzo collapse from fatigue and demands that someone take care of him.[7]
Illuminati arc
Homare later orders another member to wake up Renzo with smelling salts after they land at the eastern research facility in Inari, where she calls him weak for fainting. After handing him an Illuminati uniform, she tells Renzo that his only worth is Yamantaka, his familiar. She begins to explain to him that he needs to go explain the situation to the captured Izumo, but is interrupted rather enthusiastically by Renzo, who says that he'll happily do it.[8]
The member then proceeds to follow Renzo to Izumo's examination room, and watches as she is reunited with her mother, as well as taunted by the arriving Dr. Gedōin. After he says what he has to say about experimenting on her, Homare, as well as the others sans Renzo, leave the room.[9]
