From Father to Son is the eighth episode of Ao no Exorcist's second season anime.
Synopsis[]
The Impure King's miasma has already infected citizens nearby. Shura asks the Exwires to find Tatsuma. Tamers prepare to summon Ucchusma and Yaozo asks Shura to help, as Ucchusma is a flame demon that is good against miasma.
The exwires find Tatsuma struggling to breathe, Karura appears to Ryuji. Karura saved Tatsuma's life by healing his wounds. Tatsuma describes The Impure King will grow to be the size of a castle with a sporangium at its center that will release toxic spores. Inside the sporangium is its heart, which requires risking the spores spreading. Tatsuma plans to use his pact with Karura to destroy all spores so Rin may split The Impure King's heart in two, recreating the Eyes again and seal them away.
Karura proposes they form a pact with Ryuji, but Tatsuma begs for anything but that. Ryuji takes on Karura and learns the sutra to set the barrier.
Yukio finds Todo struggling to control the Karura inside him. Kamiki and Shiemi decide to carry Tatsuma to the nearest hospital. Mephisto observes everything unfold above. Todo continues to taunt Yukio based on the emotions he has been suppressing, asking if Yukio hates Rin.
