Egyn (エギュン Egyun) is one of the eight demon kings. She is the King of Water and Assistant Director of the Illuminati's Airborne Lab.[1]
Appearance[]
Egyn, unlike the other Demon Kings, seems to have a tendency to hide her face, in the past having an octopus over it, and in recent times wearing what appears to be a onesie in the shape of a shark.[2][3] Egyn also appears to be quite small, roughly half the height of her elder brother, Lucifer.[4]
The cover of Chapter 132 reveals that Egyn's face beneath her suit is similar to her sister Iblis, having dark skin and bright yellow eyes.
After her battle with Beelzebub, it is shown that Egyn has extremely long light blue hair that darkened towards the tips, short pointed ears and her eyes take on an octopus-like quality when she cries.[5]
Personality[]
From what little has been shown of her, Egyn appears to be very nervous, hiding behind her older brother and clinging to him while addressing Yukio Okumura.[6] Despite her status as one of the Demon Kings, Egyn doesn't like to fight and panics when attacked[7]
Egyn is very passive, typically deferring to her siblings, but does have a passion for science and marine biology, opening marine research and development funds and pharmaceutical and medical businesses.[8]

Powers & Abilities[]
Egyn is one of the chief researchers for the Illuminati, using her expertise to create their Elixir.
Egyn has water based abilities, she can suddenly appear out of puddles and was able to carefully save at least one drop of the Elixir while maintaining it separate from her own water after the Airborne lab was destroyed.[10] She is very durable despite her child-like appearance, as she survived and was capable of moving perfectly fine after the crash of the Airborne lab but she was left quite bloodied and battered.[10] She is able to protect herself from incoming attacks by forming a water barrier around her.[7]
Offensively, Egyn can make use of a technique called Water Gun, firing high velocity drops of rain at the target with enough force to shatter stone.[11]
As King of Water, Egyn has affiliation with Demons such as Reapers and Kraken and as such is able to command those kin who do not have a contract with someone else to do her bidding.
Trivia[]
- In demonology, The Book of Abramelin states that Egin (also spelled Egyn, Egion, Aegym), or Ariton, is a sub-prince of Hell. A Joseph H. Peterson version (2001) of The Lesser Key of Solomon: Lemegeton Clavicula Salomonis, along with H. C. Agrippa's Occult Philosophy, states that Egin, or Ariton, also known by the alternate name Azael, is the cardinal king of the North, along with Paymon (West), Amaimon (South) and Oriens (East).
