Dekalp (
Overview[]
Dekalps are normally benign, but on rare occasions can charm humans and become violent.[1]
Whilst normally non-threatening, the injuries inflicted by a Dekalp appear similar to thick roots spread across the skin.[2] If left unchecked, these invasive injuries can be used by the Dekalp to possess the unsuspecting victim, the Demon using them as both host and shield against attack.[3]
Powers and Abilities[]
Possession: A Dekalp can, through prolonged exposure, infect, feed off, and eventually take possession, of a human, greatly increasing their destructive power.[3]
Trivia[]
- The name of Dekalp seems to have come from a back-translation of the Dökkálfar, the Dark Elves of the earth attested to in Snorri Sturluson's Prose Edda.
