Cradle Barrier (魔揺籃 (クレイドルバリア)  Kureidoru Baria) is an ability produced by women carrying Nephilim children to protect the mother during pregnancy.

Overview

The Cradle Barrier curses any who harm the mother during pregnancy. Even actions taken to help the mother through childbirth can elicit a response from the barrier making it at times more harmful than helpful to the woman in question. There seems to be no way to circumvent the barrier itself, Mephisto Pheles describing it as an inviolable state, but it will deactivate on its own upon two conditions, the natural death of the mother, or the birth of the demonic child.
