Bayonets are a type of blade originally designed to be attached to rifles in order to act as improvised spears. In the case of Saburota Todo, he has mounted the blades on handles to use as both a thrown and close combat weapon.[1][2]
They also seem to possess some supernatural feature, as they were able to pierce and harm the body of Karura, a demon whose body is composed of flame.[3]
