Azazel Images

Azazel (アザゼル Azazeru) is one of the Eight Demon Kings, holding the title King of Spirits (氣の王 Ki no Ō)[1] and is regarded as the third strongest among the demon kings. [2]

Appearance[]

Azazel appears as an elderly man with long hair and beard obscuring most of his features. His body has crystallized to the point of becoming completely immobile.[3]

History[]

Azazel returned to nature after their first incarnation, never taking a second host. While their physical body appears to be male, their gender is listed as unknown.

Synopsis[]

Beyond the Snow arc[]

Lewin Light and Ryuji Suguro travel where Azazel is enshrined in order to investigate whether or not the crystallized Demon King was truly on the side of humanity.[4]

Abilities[]

As one of the Demon Kings, it can be presumed that Azazel was, at least before returning to nature, a very powerful and influential demon. When his power was invoked by a young Lewin Light, a brief manifestation managed to destroy a house entirely.[5]

He has shown affiliation with Demons such as Ghosts and Byakko.

Trivia[]

  • Azazel, also spelled Azazael, appears in the Bible in association with the scapegoat rite. In some traditions of Judaism and Christianity, it is the name for a fallen angel.
